The Submittal Process
The Submittal Process (for new rules and procedures relating
to the submittal process, effective April 1, 2007, please visit the State
website www.license.state.tx.us/ab/abprop.htm)
State of Texas licensed Architects, Landscape Architects, Engineers,
Interior Designers and Building Owners are required to submit to either
TDLR / Austin or to a Registered Accessibility Specialist (RAS) the
following elements for a "complete" accessibility Plan Review submittal:
- An "Elimination of Architectural Barriers Project Registration"
Confirmation Page for each subject building or facility. (Or, a
completed TDLR Form 005AB 03-07 if registration will be done
by ARS).
- A complete set of Construction Documents: Working Drawings
and Project Manual / Specifications submitted not later than 5
days after the plans and specifications are issued.
- A completed Proof of Submission Form, not later than 5 days after
the plans and specifications are issued. (TDLR Form AB042 03-
07)
- Applicable fees for the Plan Review and / or on-site Inspection by
check payable to ARS.
- TDLR now requires registration on-line using a credit card. ARS
prefers that the project be registered by the design professional or
owner. If ARS is to register the project, theTDLR Filing Fee of
$175.00 MUST be included with the ARS check. Please Note:
ARS will NOT register a project without the filing fee.
